Them: Hey, I haven’t seen you in the break-of-day Cycle Burn class in ages. So great to run into you. Have you seen Greg’s new onesie uniquely crafted for his own riding style? You: Oh, what’s up with me? Baby steps. My quads definitely can’t squash watermelons, but I can do more squats than ever after starting Lift Club classes. I can’t believe my fitness dream of steady progress is coming true. I’ve been trying something new each week, and I’m seeing how slow and steady can win this race.
I feel completely well without putting any pressure on myself to complete the most insane fitness regime ever but at least now I can manage 10 burpees in a row without wanting to poke myself with a fork until I look like a tea strainer – because that would feel better.
